Escape To Byron Bay
Our muse Marina Alonso had left Valencia for a couple of month in Australia. We couldn't stand the distance so she sent us a little post card from Byron Bay, her new hometown. Follow her strolling through the streets of Byron Bay, a board under the arm drinking an healthy juice, you'll discover the best hotspots in town that you don't want to miss!
" Byron Bay is a small town set on the East Coast of Australia, known for its stunning beaches and world-renowned waves. The Pass is probably Byron Bay's most iconic surf spot. Frequently home to dolphins and pretty waves you can ride for hundreds of metres. It's a right hand sand bottom point break, a longboarders' paradise and my favourite wave in the world! "

" If the wind is from the North, Tallows will have clean faces, and if the wind it's from the South, Wategos, The Pass or The Wreck is the place to be. "

" If the wind is from the East it's probably time to hit one of Byron's many cafés. Sustainable organic produce is a focus of the region. Nowhere showcases this better than the local cafés. My favourite ones in town are Combi (best bowls and avo toast) Bayleaf (try the banana bread & fruit toast) The Farm, Byron Fresh, TopShop and Safya (best coffee and cool egyptian vibes). Make sure not to miss Folk, just before Belongil Beach."

" If you have the chance to visit Bangalow it is worth the ten minute drive inland. Its streets are lined with beautiful colonial buildings and littered with nice boutiques, weekly markets and restaurants. One of the best is Woods, the have an amazing selection of organic treats and exquisite coffee. "

" Byron is home to several fashion boutiques and cool stores. The best streets for shopping are Lawson St. and Fletcher St. Walk around the Byron Arts & Industry Estate for bigger brands and surf shops. "

" For a night out, every day of the week is busy but Friday and Saturday are the biggest. Try The Beach Hotel or The Northern for great live music. "
