Colors of the Sea
Colors of the Sea
The sea is vast, wide, seemingly endless. For Billabong's surfer gals (Courtney Conlogue, Laura Enever, Felicity Palmateer and Alessa Quizon), the ocean is everything. The sea has graciously paved and dictated the trajectory of their lives, aspirations and hobbies. As their reasoning for adoring the sea may change, the love and excitement they carry for it is unwavering. The sea holds many different shades for each girl, but ultimately drives their souls to want to dive deeper and discover more of its treasures. The salty sea is dynamic and ever-changing, yet feels complete with its breadth of color and personality.
Meet Courtney Conlogue: a double threat of beauty and athleticism. From gliding over glassy waves to duck diving under heavy sets, the water is Courtney's home. Shades of blue sparkle throughout the ocean and keep her ever-eager to rush into the waves. The uncertainty of what the sea will reveal to her tomorrow has her charging head first into the deep blue.
Let's chat about Laura Enever: a fashion-forward, contagious spirit. When the extreme color palette from sun down mimics against the water, vibrancy strikes. Laura's electric personality reflects the fuchsias and magentas that begins to overpower the ocean's many shades of blue. The color speaks for itself - it's bold, bubbly and fun - just like the effervescent Laura.
Then there is Felicity Palmateer: a part-time comedian and continuous adventure seeker. As she sits back on her board anxiously awaiting the next set, Flick is always mesmerized by the vivid green palm trees waving in the ocean breeze. The deep, stark green dominate the soft shades of blue covering the sky and sea. The intentional pause amongst the wrestling waves bring her soul to a place of peace and centeredness. With her head in the tall trees and her feet tangled in seaweed, she is most herself engulfed in nature and the outdoors.
The anchor of the crew, Alessa Quizon: a delicate, yet powerful gal. The sea is consistent in it's ability to revive and stimulate the soul. Alessa's reliable, classy personality and style acts in the same form. Her admiration for simplicity draws her to the ocean, as she knows it will be just her, her board and the water to guide her agenda. She sees simplicity as an opportunity - an opportunity to spice things up, bring flare and create edginess both in and out of the water.
