"I just wanted to ring that bell so badly. I don't think anyone wants to ring it as bad as I do." - Courtney Conlogue. Mission accomplished.

Huge congrats goes out to Courtney Conlogue who has defeated Sally Fitzgibbons for the win at the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach. Her first win at Bells (she severely injured herself at this exact event 2 years ago)! She nailed a 9.03 in the final minutes to take the lead and keep it. She is now in 1st place on the WSL Tour leaderboard.

Today’s victory is Conlogue’s first of the 2016 season. She finished second at Snapper.

In her post-win interview she mentioned how good all of the women on tour have been surfing in the first 2 events and realizes she needs to continuously step up her game to compete. Her hard work and dedication is paying off. An exciting year of women's surfing ahead, indeed.

The next stop on the 2016 Samsung Galaxy WSL Women’s Championship Tour is the Margaret River Pro which commences on April 8th.
