• Welcome to the team Dylan Prideaux!!

Billabong today announced the signing of emerging wakeboarder Dylan Prideaux to its roster of athletes, with the sponsorship marking the first time an Australia-based rider has been signed to the Billabong wakeboard team.

The 15-year-old Prideaux, the 2010 Australian Junior Champion, is currently preparing to join the world’s best riders in the World Wakeboard Association’s Wakeboard World Championship event in Orlando, Florida, in August.

Prideaux will compete at the world championship in the Junior Pro division, which will feature a collection of the leading under-18 wakeboarders from around the globe.

“I know Billabong has some of the best riders and a big presence in wakeboarding in places like North America, so it is an honour to be selected as their first rider out of Australia,” said Dylan.

This year Prideaux has been competing in the open age semi-pro division of the Queensland Wakeboard Association series and has two victories to his name and capped off his summer in winning the Australian national title in March this year.
