There’s nothing like fresh picked fall apples topped with caramel (YUM) for those midday cravings or the clever treats to make your friendsgiving or holiday table spread something to swoon over..

It’s fairly easy, quick, and painless, but it tastes great and fun to do!

What you need:

  • Mini apples (bite sized is the way to go)
  • Twigs or small sticks
  • Hot Caramel
  • Maldon Sea Salt Flakes or other toppings
  • Parchment paper

Thoroughly clean your apples, and allow to fully dry before dipping.

Using your clean twigs, gently pierce the top of your apple and insert until secure and you can easily hold the apple and dip into the hot caramel.

Once you’ve inserted your twigs, heat up your caramel and begin dipping immediately. You want to ensure the caramel is hot enough to fully cover the apple and for ease of quickly dipping before it hardens and doesn’t coat your apple evenly.

Place the fully dipped apples on a sheet of parchment paper to dry. The parchment paper will help the apples from sticking to the surface, so don’t forget this part! We learned the hard way on our first batch (oopsy).

f you want to add toppings to any of your apples, make sure to sprinkle on your sea salt immediately after dipping so it sticks easily as you rotate the apple over a plate to catch the loose toppings.
