Felicity Palmateer Celebrates Her First Pro Junior Victory In Home Waters
On the weekend 16 year old Felicity Palmateer took out the Chill Pro Junior held at her local break, Trigg Beach Perth, WA. The win was Felicity's first victory in a Pro Junior event, after only competing in a handful of events due to concentrating on her final year of schooling.
Felicity took out event favourite, Laura Enever, in the semi final and proved unstoppable in the final. Felicity scored two strong scores early on which placed her opponent, Angela Kerghran in combination land and proved too strong with her powerful, fluid style of surfing. With the crowd behind her and local knowledge on her side, Felicity was the one to watch. "I can't believe I've won, this is such a good feeling. Today was my first time surfing in the woman on woman format, so Dad and I read up on the rules the night before. I am so stoked," said an elated Felicity.
From the entire Billabong team, congrats Felicity!
