Griffin Colapinto Wins 2016 Pipe Pro Junior
They say that hard work and dedication pays off, and in this case, for Griffin Colapinto, it certainly did!
After dealing with a fairly tough rehabilitation due to injury in the middle of 2015, Griffin bounced back with a strong finish to the year. In particular, Griff showed hard charging skill in Hawaii over and over again. He pushed it in daunting Pipe and OTW conditions as well as Haleiwa and Sunset (See the video below for proof!).
Today, Griffin came out on top at the Pipe Pro Junior scoring a 9.4 in the final to oust his competitors including his friend and fellow Billabong team rider Ryland Rubens. We're extremely proud of Griff and Ry, and we suggest you keep an eye on both as their surfing progresses further!
