BILLABONG PIPE MASTERS 2016 EVENT PREVIEW

The 2016 World Title is done and dusted with John John Florence claiming the trophy after the event in Portugal but that doesn't mean there is any less reason to be excited about this year's Billabong Pipe Masters. With an increasingly competitive crop of young surfers - Gabriel Medina, John John Florence, Kolohe Andino, etc. - mixing it up with tour stalwarts like Kelly Slater, Joel Parkinson and Jordy Smith, we're sure to see competitive heats and incredible surfing. One other story to note is the return of Australian Bede Durbidge who broke his pelvis during 2015's Billabong Pipe Masters. The tour is better with Bede back and we're thrilled to have him in the event when the window opens on December 8.
