launching pad into the snowboarding industry
The Sista Sessions is an all-female snowboarding competition taking place
on the weekend of 12.-14. February in Mayrhofen, Austria. The action packed
weekend features a 3star TTR slopestyle contest as well as heaps of other
activities for female snowboarders of all levels.
The Vans Penken Park will host the TTR 3star slopestyle competition with
pro riders such as Basa Stevulova (SVK), Tania Detomas (ITA), Conny
Bleicher (GER), Julia Baumgartner (AUT), Tina Ramholt (SUI), Alicia Bonnaud
(FRA) and Enni Rukajärvi (FIN). There is a US$ 2.500,- prize purse up for
grabs. Billabong Girls will award the best unsponsored rider of the event
with a 12 months clothing sponsorship that could evolve into a full
sponsorship, giving the lucky girl the once in a lifetime opportunity to
maybe soon be riding in one team with Anne-Flore Marxer, Jamie Anderson or
To secure yourself a place on the draw for the event, check out
www.sistasessions.com or participate in the Youtube Videoclip contest that
you'll also find on the website.
All the girls who want to improve their riding skills or learn from the
pros on how to jump kickers or hit the rails need to mark this weekend in
their calendars as well. You can now signup on the Sista Sessions website
to the "Sweet Dream - Newbie Zone" to improve your riding and on top of
that also receive a 10% discount voucher for your next shopping trip to the
Billabong Store in Innsbruck (Europark Shopping Center).
Right next to the Vans Penken Park the Billabong Girls team will set up a
t-shirt printing machine for everyone to design and print their personal
Sista Sessions t-shirt. And last but not least after the prize giving
ceremony we will have a little campfire and hot-choclate for everyone to
catch-up on a good day of riding and competition, but also to have the
chance to ask all the questions you always wanted to ask a pro-snwoboarder,
a photographer, an event organizer, a magazine editor or a brand
representative. Maybe this is your personal launching pad into the
snowboarding industry, you never know!
